Why Mentor With Us
Our mentors are embedded partners — not just advisors. You’ll work hands-on alongside students in areas that match your expertise.
Guide students through CAD design, fabrication, and assembly. Help them understand material selection, tolerances, and how to iterate under competition constraints.
Teach programming best practices, autonomous path planning, PID control, and computer vision. Our programmers are eager to learn from real-world engineers.
Support students with wiring, pneumatics, sensor integration, and power management. Electrical mentors ensure our robot is safe and reliable on the field.
Coach our business team on grant writing, sponsor relations, and presentations. Help students develop professional communication and project management skills.
Work with our drive team on match strategy, scouting analysis, and alliance selection. Competitive FIRST experience is a plus but not required.
Champion a culture of safety in the shop. Our safety captain needs a mentor who understands OSHA guidelines, PPE requirements, and team wellbeing.
